Open Day at the company’s premises
“Still full steam ahead after 100 years” was the transport association’s motto for its centenary celebrations.
The company commissioned ZEITGEMAESS to design and run its promotion event in the city centre (a football tournament for schoolchildren), the VIP theatre event “Herbert Knebel’s Monkey Business” for 500 people in the depot the evening before the main event, and the full event programme on the Open Day, with a wide variety of music and entertainment across several stages, a quad bike stunt show, lots of mobile elements and hands-on activities, a children’s programme and a museum exhibition on the company’s premises.
One particular challenge was planning the set-up and dismantling times for the necessary logistics and stage structures, on the way to and at the company’s premises, alongside the transport association’s day-to-day operation.
Zeitgemaess was a member of the “Safety and Logistics” planning team right from the start. Together with the client, the police, the fire brigade, the ambulance service and the public order office, the necessary logistical measures for coping with the large number of visitors to the event were agreed upon and prepared for approval.
